Profile: Adam Volle

Adam Volle

This is Adam Volle speaking. Salutations to you, Sir or Madame, in the name of our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I’m a writer and student who has joined this website’s creator Joseph Martin (if one can truly be said to “join” someone who is doing all the actual work) to present you with Theocrats.com, an online political commentary dedicated to exploring and promoting Christian-Libertarianism, which we believe to be the only truly honest method of governing. With every article we write we hope to convince you of the same.

WHO I AM

I’m an English major at Shorter College in Rome, Georgia, as well as a writer of comic books and screenplays for various companies and publications. I enjoy consuming as well as producing material, but lately I’ve focused my energies on absorbing nonfiction when I’m not penning my own work. I particularly enjoy the study of economics and political science, though in all honesty the only reason I’m capable of appreciating the latter is by not taking it at all seriously. Though I now write for Theocrats.com under my own name, for the first year of its existence I wrote under the pseudonym “$”.

WHAT I AM READING

The Art of Biblical Narrative, by Robert Alter

Narrative in the Hebrew Bible, by David M. Gunn and Danna Nolan Fewell

An Unstoppable Force: Daring to Become the Church God Had in Mind, by Erwin McManus

The Complete Works of Jonathan Edwards

The Tanakh (The Holy Scriptures), translated by the Jewish Publication Society

WHAT I AM WRITING

I’m now finishing a full-length (22 pg.) comic book story that aims to examine pregnancy outside of wedlock, marriage, and the relatively recent American phenomenon of the Fundamentalist megachurch. The story will have a sci-fi twist and be published sometime this winter or early next year. More information as I have it.
